The Instrument Room is proud to serve a community built around music.
Our work doesn't stop at the repair bench. We believe in supporting the students, educators, musicians, and programs that keep music alive throughout our communities.
Whether we're keeping musicians cool during band camp, recognizing graduating seniors, or simply showing up to support a local program, we're grateful for every opportunity to give something back.

2026 Freeze Pop Tour
Band camp means long days, hot rehearsal fields, and a whole lot of hard work.
During the summer of 2026, The Instrument Room hit the road with coolers full of freeze pops to visit marching bands throughout Virginia and West Virginia.
There was no sales pitch and no catch—just something cold for the students, directors, staff, and volunteers working hard to prepare for another marching season.
It was our small way of supporting the programs that give young musicians a place to learn, perform, make friends, and create memories that last long after the final football game.
To every program that welcomed us: thank you for letting The Instrument Room be a small part of your season.
Note: We visited 14 Schools to deliver Freeze Pops, but these were the only marching bands we could visit with in person!

The Instrument Room Scholarship
The Instrument Room Scholarship recognizes graduating student musicians for the dedication, character, leadership, and contributions they have shown to their marching band programs. Each recipient is selected entirely at the discretion of their marching band staff, who are encouraged to choose a graduating senior they believe deserves recognition for the qualities and impact they have demonstrated. The Instrument Room does not select the recipients—we trust the educators who know their students best to recognize someone who has made a meaningful difference in their program.
A repaired instrument can help a musician make music today, but supporting a young musician can help them make music for a lifetime.
Two scholarships were given this year. The second student could not attend the award ceremony, so there is no picture.
