Repair Terms & Service Policy

By requesting service from The Instrument Room LLC, you agree to the following terms:

Estimates & Approval
All instruments are evaluated before work begins. Estimates are provided based on initial inspection; however, additional issues may be discovered during repair. Any additional work will be communicated and approved before proceeding.

Turnaround Time
Estimated completion times are provided as a guideline and may vary depending on parts availability, repair complexity, and workload. Expedited service may be available upon request.

Payment
Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. Instruments may not be released until full payment is received.

Unclaimed Instruments
Instruments not picked up within 30 days of completion may be subject to storage fees. Instruments left unclaimed for an extended period may be considered abandoned and handled in accordance with applicable laws.

Pre-Existing Conditions
The Instrument Room is not responsible for issues resulting from pre-existing damage, prior repairs, manufacturer defects, or normal wear and tear that may affect repair outcomes.

Risk of Repair
By authorizing repairs, you acknowledge that certain procedures—especially on older or previously damaged instruments—carry inherent risks. While all work is performed with care and precision, The Instrument Room is not liable for unforeseen complications that arise as a result of necessary repair procedures.

Parts & Materials
Replacement parts (pads, corks, felts, etc.) are selected based on quality and availability. Specific part requests must be made in advance and may affect pricing and turnaround time.

Warranty / Work Guarantee
Work performed is guaranteed for a period of 30 days against defects in workmanship. This does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, environmental conditions, or normal wear.

Liability Limitation
The Instrument Room’s liability is limited to the cost of the repair performed. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential damages, including loss of use or performance opportunities.
