Meet the Owner

Jordan Shrewsbury
Owner / Technician
Jordan Shrewsbury is the owner and technician behind The Instrument Room LLC, a repair shop built on precision, consistency, and a deep respect for musicians and their craft. A 2022 graduate of Lord Botetourt High School—where he served as drum major—Jordan developed an early foundation in both leadership and musicianship. He went on to earn an Associate of Science in Business Administration from Virginia Western Community College in 2024.
In 2023, Jordan completed an instrument repair apprenticeship, where he developed the technical skills and attention to detail that now define his work. In 2025, he fulfilled his goal of opening The Instrument Room, with a commitment to doing things the right way—no shortcuts, no compromises.
As an active performer, Jordan plays marching baritone and tenor saxophone with the Washington Commanders, and performs on low brass with Winds of the Blue Ridge, the Roanoke Valley Community Band, and the Star City Brass Quintet. He has also performed on baritone saxophone with the Roanoke Valley Community Band and marched with Jersey Surf Drum & Bugle Corps in 2022, experiences that further shaped his discipline and musical standards.
In addition to performing, Jordan serves as a music technician for William Fleming High School, working directly with students to develop their sound, technique, and confidence. He also regularly performs in his church, playing a variety of instruments and continuing to expand his versatility as a musician. Through his music, he strives to glorify God and use his abilities to serve others.
As a dedicated multi-instrumentalist, Jordan brings a player’s perspective to every repair. He understands not just how an instrument should function, but how it should feel in the hands of the musician. Every instrument that comes through his shop is treated with the same level of care and attention he would expect for his own.
Because at the end of the day, it’s more than just metal and wood—it’s your voice.
